NCCGAPNA MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

INSTRUCTIONS AND APPLICATION

NCCGAPNA is the Northern California chapter of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association (GAPNA).  GAPNA is a national organization whose mission is to promote high standards of health care for older adults through advanced gerontological nursing practice, education, and research.  Membership to GAPNA automatically includes membership to the local chapter, NCCGAPNA and participation in both National and Local chapter organization activities. 

A membership scholarship will be awarded to an Advanced Practice Nursing Student/Recent Graduate who is interested in GAPNA and NCCGAPNA’s goals and missions and agrees to participate in Student Night Out.   Student Night Out is an annual event designed to establish and maintain a relationship between NCCGAPNA and University based schools of nursing with Advanced Practice Nursing programs in northern California.

To be eligible to apply, the following criteria must be met:

• Current enrollment in an NP or CNS program or graduated within the past year
• Reside in Northern California
• Have a particular interest in gerontology
• Provide proof of enrollment or graduation
• Agree to participate in the preparation for Student Night Out.

The deadline for receipt of scholarship is March 1, 2017.
