Hello CALTCM Friends and Family!

We are proud to present the CALTCM 2016 Fall Conference, The Best of Quality Through Best Practices being held in Sacramento on Saturday October 29, 2016 from 8am-12:45pm.

The 2016 Fall Conference highlights the top scoring topics from the 42nd Annual Meeting. Featured topics: Reducing Antipsychotic Use, Diagnosing Infections, "De-Prescribing", POLST, Aid in Dying, GeriatricPain.org, Sex in the Nursing Home, and Bundled Payments.

Learning Objectives

By participation in the 2016 Fall Conference, participants will have the ability to:
1.Demonstrate Antibiotic Stewardship for UTI's - cite practical steps facilities can take to comply with new CMS expectations;
2.Identify best practices for achieving safe medication care plans;
3.Describe accommodating residents sexual desires in ways that protect vulnerable patients yet honors patients autonomy;
4.Summarize updates on changes from volume based to value based payments for facilities and providers;
5.Describe the care of persistent non-cancer pain in view of new CDC pain recommendations;
6.Prepare facilities for requests from residents for "Aid in Dying".
